๐งโ๐ซ As one of the speakers for Folkuniversitetet‘s lecture series, last week I was invited to speak about AI at the libraries in Mรถnsterรฅs, Emmaboda and Sรถderkรถping. As such the week represented the kick-start of my focus on the academic the 3rd Mission under the second half of 2025.
๐ค๐ฐ In Mรถnsterรฅs and Emmaboda I presented the talk “๐๐ ๐ง๐ณรฅ๐ฏ ๐ด๐ค๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐ง๐ช๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ต๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ต” (๐๐ ๐ง๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐ช๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ช๐ต๐บ) aiming to demystify some of the misconceptions of AI, and by taking part in Sรถderkรถping library’s lecture series on democracy, I focused on generative AI, fake news and societal manipulation in the talk “๐๐ข๐ฏ ๐ท๐ช ๐ญ๐ช๐ต๐ข ๐ฑรฅ ๐ช๐ฏ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ง๐ญรถ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ต?” (๐๐ข๐ฏ ๐ธ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ณ๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ช๐ฏ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ง๐ญ๐ฐ๐ธ?)
๐ค While in the Kalmar region, I also took the opportunity to visit Garrit Schaap at Linnaeus University to learn more about their educational programs, discuss joint research and to get to know some of the researchers at Institutionen fรถr datavetenskap och medieteknik.
